The Hotter'N Hell 100 in Wichita Falls, Texas is the biggest bicycle ride in the country, and a must-do event. This year they had over 13,000 riders doing the 100 mile, 100K, and shorter distances. The rest stops are better than any other charity ride in the country (Powerade icee cones, anyone?), and the atmosphere is closer to a big city marathon than it is to the usual smaller bicycle charity ride.

The sweetest ride in Texas is back, with two different challenges - a 28 mile donut eating ride, and a 55 mile MS 150 training ride. Both start and finish at Katy Mills, west of Houston.

With the 28 mile ride, you get 5 minutes back on your time for each Shipley Donut you eat at the rest stops. According to the race organizers, you could get all your time back by eating enough donuts. We're trying to get out friends to "train" for this race by eating a dozen donuts and then bicycling, but none of them seem to have the winning, competitive attitude we're looking for.
