The Arkansas Pikes Peak Society trains for the Pikes Peak Marathon - they published a collection of Little Rock running routes here - http://www.littlerockroadrunners.com/LRRC/routes/pikespeak.pdf

Also consider just taking the Arkansas River Trail - it's flat, paved, and away from traffic.

Arkansas River Trail

The Arkansas River Trail runs along both banks of the Arkansas River in Little Rock, Arkansas and North Little Rock. The trail is longer in North Little Rock, but will be extended on the Little Rock side to match to make a loop trail. The trail is paved, and very suitable for road biking, inline skating, or running.

Go! Running is a new running store in Little Rock that is bringing some energy to shoe retailing in the area. They offer a 4 mile shop run on Thursday evenings.

They also carry triathlon equipment and clothing, including triathlon racing shoes.
