Savannah isn't known for its trail running, but there are a few options in the Savannah-Hilton Head area.
In Pooler, trail runners and mountain bikers can share the 6.5 miles of trails at Triplett park - these will flood, so stay away if its been running.
Closer to the coast, Skidaway Island State Park has 4 and a half miles of hiking and mountain biking trails on a relatively undeveloped island. There's a 5K at the state park in October called the Trails of Hope 5K.
Over in South Carolina towards Hilton Head, the New River Linear Trail isn't really singletrack, but its a nice offroad trail in Bluffton. There are several trail races on this trail put on by East Coast Ultras.

Description:
Miles of hiking and mountain biking trails wait for you on this undeveloped island in the low country of Savannah. There are lots of camping sites on the island
The New River Linear Trail is open for hikers, runners, and mountain bikers - access to the trail is still being developed, but it makes a nice getaway from Savannah or Hilton Head for runners.
The rails to trail follows the bed of the historic Savannah-Tybee Island Railroad for six miles near Fort Pulaski National Monument on Tybee Island. It's probably not the best surface for running, as its pretty soft calcite gravel, but it does change things up from running on the roads.
