Tulsa Trail Running

Trail Running in Tulsa is growing like crazy with the rise of the TATURS - Tulsa Area Trail Ultra Runners (do you think they came up with the name of the organization or the acronym first?).

The home-grown ultra is the Turkey and Taturs 50K, 25K, and 10K trail race, held in September on Turkey Mountain.

Wow! The Turkey Mountain team went all out with their web site, if other parks had such great web sites we'd all be a lot better off. Turkey Mountain has the best trails in Tulsa, even if they are a bit of a maze.

The Post Oak Lodge Challenge is two days of events. On the first day, there are going to be three trail races on the Post Oak Lodge property - a 50K, 25K, and a 10K. The second day will be part road and part paved Katy trail rails-to-trails with the Post Oak Lodge marathon, half marathon, and quarter marathon.
